Sms message notificaction problem

Today, one week after I exchanged my old one for a nee device, I'm noticing that I'm not getting notifications at all when I receive text messages, no led light or anything. Any idea what's wrong?

You don't say what you have checked. Notifications settings

I have received notifications checked, vibrate checked, notification preview checked, and failure notification checked.

Apps like messenger and couple work fine for me.

If you have Go SMS installed, it will default to blocking notifications from other apps. Make sure that box is unchecked if you have Go on your phone. It's in the Other Settings section of Go, not the Notifications section.

Have you tried rebooting phone with "fast boot" disabled? Also, have you installed any new apps/games recently which have permission to access SMS service? If yes - maybe try uninstalling them then reboot...

Oh man, I usually just install without really looking at that. Is there an easy way to check which apps require access SMS services?

Settings>apps. Click an app then scroll down. The permissions will be listed.

A few days ago the SMS notification on my HTC One stopped working. Notifications work for e-mail, but not texts. I've checked everything I know to check. I have no recently installed apps. I did a hard boot and the notification returned for about a day, then stopped again. Any suggestions? Thanks!
