sms messages going to ms exchange email acct

Hello,

When google sends me a verificaiton code and/or certain people (not all) text me, I receive an email with the text and in addition to a sms msg. my defualt messaging is Google Hangouts

how do i disable the emails? thanks

I having the same issue only that my default messaging is Gmail.
