I have some friends that I text, no problem. But a few, now, I used to text, it won't send. Say I need to switch to sms/mms.

I don't know what mine uses to text but if I switch to sms/mms it costs me data, correct?

I guess I can't fix that, some how, without additional charges?
I can receive their text, but can't reply.

Really not sure why some phones are doing this, now.

It might be a temporary problem with RCS chat services. You could try turning that off temporarily in your Messages app settings.

I don't see RCS
I am using Google messenger...which I just noticed, right now, it needed an update on that app.
And it seems to work.
I usually update .. must have missed it.

I'm glad it's working now! By the way, RCS is what the Chat Features menu is for.
