SMS & screen on.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to stop the screen from turning on when I get an SMS as well as stopping the SMS from appearing on the lock screen? It's very annoying and I'm sure over time it cuts into battery life.

Go into the Messaging app and open the settings and turn off notifications.

That doesn't let you know when you have a text in the notification field or LED notifications. Which isn't very helpful.

I just want the screen to not light up, don't care that the message is on the lock screen.

Anyone else with any ideas?

Do you use light flow? There's an option to turn this off.

I have the TMobile S4 and I tried using this app and disabling the screen and I still have it turn on.
