SMS with my Google account

Hello all! I have had my S4 for about 6 months now. I previously had the S3. With my S3 all of my text messages went to my Google account under the folder "SMS." I don't remember setting this up but I really liked it. I can't figure out how to do this with my new phone. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to do this? Thanks in advance!

Where in your google account is this SMS folder? You mean you're getting an email? I don't know how that would happen unless you were using Google Voice, which offers all sorts of options with texts received.

It was discontinued when google chat was discontinued. Hangouts may provide the option to link to gmail
