Snapdragon 821??

And I've kind of been wondering, based upon the leaked specs, what was supposed to be making the 2016 Nexus phones more Daydream compatible than the 6P.

I read that the various benchmarks don't recognize the 821 so they report an 820 instead. It's likely the 821.

This is what has always killed the Nexus for me. It's never the specs pioneer flagship I hope for. It gets hype cause it's Google and there's a cult following that enjoy vanilla Android and frequent updates but the hardware is never innovative because their strategy is to select a past flagship as a base and add minor esthetic touch ups.

I suppose I'm sour because there are no exciting phones on the horizon right now, spec wise.

So has this been confirmed? Will both the Pixel and the Pixel XL have the 821??

Yeah, I can't imagine they'd go through the effort of transitioning to the "Pixel" name and touting top-end features, then release with the 820. Kinda like they used high end hardware for the Pixel C - it's the Pixel MO. We'll find out in a few days.

It does not matter to me if it comes with an 820 or an 821.. Phone processors these days are already overkill..

I doubt anyone would notice the real world difference but then again I am happily still rocking my Nexus 5 with an 800 so there's that...

I really dont think anyone will notice any difference. What I want to know is if it´s so expensive has rumors indicate and if it is a better phone than the HTC 10.

Cheers
