if they announce it tomorrow, Verizon Galaxy Note 2 owners should receive it about a week before Groundhog Day.

I think I read that Samsung will be skipping 4.2.2. And go straight to 4.3

Don't believe it till you see it. I'd say a few months at the very minimum before any non-nexus devices see it.

Perhaps, but they've released 4.2.2 for the international version of the Galaxy S3, but not yet for any other current devices. Best case, though, I would expect Samsung to take several months to integrate Touchwiz into 4.3 and test it, then they'll deliver it to the carriers who will do their own modifications and testing, and only then will we start to see it released.

I don't think I really care about how long Verizon takes. If a solid 4.3 rom is released I would probably root and flash it but maybe Verizon will surprise us and give us 4.3 around the 1 yr anniversary of this device in November
