So, are they ever going to fix the GPS?

Piizza,

At last check, Faster Fix wasn't working for me after the GB update. I noticed a couple of other people had made comments indicating the same thing on the Android Market. Is there a trick to getting it to run?

First off I didn't realize I posted the same advice twice...my apologise to the group

No trick for me, it just worked as intended. Maybe they pushed an update since you tried it last

Someone commented that with the Charge, once they updated it to 2.3, it didn't work anymore. I downloaded it but haven't tried it yet because of the cave I work in.

They must have updated it, but I also didn't realize that I needed to install Busybox, so that was my other problem. I'm new to this rooting thing still, but I'm learning!

Worst case scenario, you can always have a bowl of water and place it on top of a floating cork. Where ever the top of the unit points is North. That'll give you an idea which way you're headed.

good luck. :D

Please don't give Samsung any ideas!

My GPS has worked from day one, but the problem I have as others have mentioned is that it takes quite a while for it to lock on, especially when moving. I downloaded the faster fix app and froze angry gps with Titanium Backup, so hopefully it will work better.
