So I was all excited to think I could store all my video and photos on drop box and be able to share them between devices as well as with friends using the link only to discover that drop box sucks when it comes to video..not sure but I've read they slow down the speed leaving me sitting and buffering over and over..I'm going to cancel my drop box account and open another way to share videos and photos securely..any recommendations?

I don't have this problem. I use Dropbox fairly often and all the videos play fine. You read somewhere "they slow the speed down"? Which is they? Maybe it's your Internet connection on your device that is slowing down the buffering process?

tNo I read a article online that says they slow down the speed..I have a Wi-Fi connection on my phone and can watch video just fine..there should be no buffer notice given when watching a video..buffer means data received from source..I'll look for the link to article

In article see where it talks about video playback..

Are you uploading really long videos or are you uploading just video clips? Are you shooting in HD? This makes files really large and would most likely affect playback and speed. I don't upload really large files and never had this problem. Only thing is often files take really long to upload and I can see that as an issue. If you're uploading really large video files then yeah Dropbox is not for you because those big files won't do well with slow playback

Yes..I take hd video from about 3 min in length up to about 15 in length..I know there are ways to share video out there because it's not realistic to send a file that large through email or other ways of delivery. Looking for other options or services available

Have you tried ADrive?

No I haven't but I will look into it..thanks..

Yes drop box is great but it's not great if you load a large video to share and it constantly is buffering so you can't watch it

I understand. Maybe start a YouTube channel if your videos aren't "private" or maybe one of those other storage clouds out there.

Just start a YouTube channel and make the videos unlisted and you should be fine. You could make videos private, but then the viewers would need a YouTube account to allow you to set permissions to view. Unlisted keeps videos from coming up in searches or public areas, but anyone with the URL can access them.

Pirating my signature??
