Oh wait - let me post with the HOX, it was on the nightstand since I was playing missile command on the N7.

lol i know that man. theres two amazing top of the range phones in our hands that we wouldnt have dreamed of a couple years ago and people are arguing about which is best lol! its hilarious mate :)

Just look at it this way when the next iphone comes out it will have invented all of the features of the oneX and the s3 so both will just be cheap knock offs that are used by folks who "just don't get it".

most reliable phone i ever had was a nokia 3210 but i dont love the thing :p
i dont hate iphones... they just make me pull a MEH face :)

I had a one x for about a week. The build quality is awesome but after getting my fiance an s3 and playing with it I decided to take my one x back for an s3. I had lots of wifi issues with the one x and multitasking sucked. Anyways the one x is a nice phone, beautifully built but the s3 blows it out of the water. Just my 2?.

While I know burn is there I know people who have had the screens for years and never seen it. Then again if you go to an att any carrier store and look at the GNex....Then you will see it! I think the op who has burn in may have had a bad unit? I see none on mine so far. Either way it sucks and this is why I hate the S3's screen.

Isn't that like hating your wife because, even though she hasn't yet, she may cheat on you? :)

Funny thread. There could be a few reasons why their forum has more complaints

1. Maybe the users over there are bigger whiners and complainers and expect more from HTC devices the Samsung users already use to the same Samsung issues as previous devices.

2. Their device was out sooner so they got a jump on complaints and after a few months are dealing with some issues we could face in a month or so

3. They really don't have more complaints or worst just an exaggeration by the OP.

I'm only kidding but at the end of the day I'll next rate which device is better by OTHERS' experience. Only my own.

Agreed... All but the part about us all being big whiners:)

As stated though we have one forum for the HOX versus several for The GS3 so our problems will be voiced on one forum where it appears to be more problems. Plus as you mentioned our phone has been out for a couple months longer so there are likely more postings. There have been 2 updates that have fixed many of the issues. I personally have only had minor complaints, best phone I have owned in the ones I have owned for a day or more (Atrix, Inspire, iPhone, Vivid, Skyrocket, Lumia). Had the HTC Vivid and loved the screen but switched to the GS2 Skyrocket and had months and months of problems on that phone that I am hoping got ironed out on the GS3. I have posted this before but had they both been available on my purchase day (GS3 wasn't out yet) it would have been a tough choice. I at first went with the Nokia Lumia and loved a lot about it but returned it because the text didn't wrap. That was essential TO ME, but I could care less about multitasking. If we could only pick and choose features for multiple phones on multiple platforms and create our OWN perfect phone!

Settings don't stick after a reboot. Known, widespread issue.

In another thread titled "Widespread problem with the Galaxy S 3?" less than 5 people claimed to have problems with haptic settings not sticking after a reboot: This in a thread with 1900 views. (one person stated he had issues with haptic feedback but he was rooted and has a custom ROM). I think we can put to bed the allegation that "Settings don't stick after a reboot. Known, widespread issue." (of course if anyone has reliable information to the contrary please post it). Hopefully potential buyers of the Galaxy S 3 who might be looking at this forum can find accurate information that may help them in their buying decision.
