So...how are you getting on with the Nexus 6P?

Curious... these are all still available on the 6P. Greenify is kind of useless since you can use an app like Naptime to tweak Doze. Custom ROMs, mods, etc. And if you use the systemless root, you don't even sacrifice Android Pay.

I'm not planning to root this time around, too much of a hassle and I don't have enough time (full time job and night school). Even systemless root loses OTA updates correct?

I've had it since late November and it's been flawless. Had to get a second unit when I slipped off a dark curb going to a holiday party and rolled over the phone but at least I didn't break the two bottles of champagne I was carrying. Priorities! As I had just ordered a second 6P for my fiance, I took that one and she got the replacement which came next day.

Pros: Battery, screen, speakers, call quality, bluetooth, wifi connectivity and GV integration. Also fingerprint scanner is excellent though I'd like to see some other apps add the api.
Cons: Buttons are a little close together and the USB C conversion is a little annoying but not that big a deal.

This is my 4th Nexus phone and I can easily say it's the cream of the crop.

My only complaint is that my Bluetooth File Transfer speeds are painfully slow compared to my Nexus 5. Not sure of that's been a common issue with others. Files that would take my N5 seconds to transfer, are taking the 6P five to ten times as long. It struggles to load paired devices sometimes as well, taking much longer than the N5 ever did.

I've had every Nexus since the N1 (except the 5x) as well as a variety of phones in between. The 6P is by far the best phone and definitely the best Nexus I've ever had.

The only thing I actually miss from my most recent phone (the S6) is the camera.

Zero regrets on the purchase and aside from peoples size preference - I can honestly recommend this phone to just about everyone.

Well, kind of... I mean, if you've gotten to the point where you've unlocked the bootloader, rooted and loaded a custom recovery, why worry about OTAs?

This phone is simply awesome! Coming from a Note 3, this is my first Nexus and I couldn't be happier!

Just one thing though - a friend of mine has a pretty low-end android phone. We were talking about WiFi connectivity in our office, when my friend asked me to check if the settings on their phone were ok as they weren't able to connect. I pulled down the notification shade from my friend's phone, and it looked exactly like mine! Then I checked their system info, and it said Android 6.0! Not having the patience anymore, I went through the app drawer, and man it had all stock apps and no OEM bloat! No doubt my friend's phone was running stock android, or some un-modified skin thereof. The issue is that my Galaxy Note 3 always looked different and unique from other android phones, especially the low-end ones. So at that particular moment, I think I died just a little bit lol

Jokes aside, the Nexus 6P has been flying through whatever I have thrown at it so far! No one's going to go wrong with this device!

I get the point, I've been there. I just don't feel like wiping my data, resetting my setup everytime I install a new ROM or factory image with the newest updates. It might not mean much to some folks here, but it does take quite a bit of time and it is a hassle to try and fine the best ROMs that fit my needs, etc.

Right now I'm 99% happy with being completely stock and locked bootloader.

Sorry for the hijack OP, last post from me.

If it's an old clunker, it's most likely running CyanogenMod, or a derivative.

I don't think I've ever been this glad that a Craigslist deal flaked on me!

I made the switch from Lumia 925 windows phone. So my first experience with Android. So far I am loving it!

Coming from a Nexus 5, now I don't need to carry a power bank wherever I go, I feel that battery has 3x more capacity even though it's just 2x but screen is bigger and CPU stronger, storage is encrypted (also should have some negative impact in CPU/battery usage), I don't know how they did it but it lasts way more than Nexus 5, even with heavy GPS usage...
Overall the 6P is very strong in almost every area, the only thing I miss is the camera OIS for making decent 4k videos without a tripod... I'm thinking to buy a hand gimble but it's not the same as built in OIS because I know it won't be always in my pocket whenever I need it...
Also miss somewhat wireless charging but with the reversible plug it's not critical.

Enjoyed it the brief time I had it. Had to return it since I got a defective device. Only one speaker worked. The top speaker didn't work at all. Wasn't sure if I wanted to order another one after that.

Love everything about my 128GB Graphite version. For those of you having trouble about backlighting, check out this app: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e.../details?id=com.vito.lux&hl=en&token=wYnesns9 It helps

Come on Google/Huawei! Shouldn't take a third party app to fix your sloppy work. My auto-bright was so out of whack I just turned it off.

Apart from that I'm loving my first ever Nexus device and my first non-HTC since my old faithful Incredible!

Same problem, I had the question if this was hardware based and I had a defect but it seems others have this issue

Hopefully the next update will fix this. I am still getting used to the volume placement. Too many times I try to turn off the screen and and I hit the volume or I try to adjust the volume and hit the power.

I did have two minor marks on my phone but not worth sending back. A couple days after getting my aluminum they announced the gold so that was a bummer but I am trying to tell myself I am not a girl and gold is stupid. No BT problems works perfectly in my Acura RDX and BT audio is great. Battery is good in the first two days did 17 hours each day and had 8% left, usually 7:00am to 12:00PM. Screen looks amazing, no problems with putting on a screen protector, the call quality is good no complaint of bad mic. Upgraded from an Unlocked international S6 and used it on AT&T and my speeds were never great maybe because the lack of LTE bands, but the 6P is very quick. Getting used the big screen again my last big phone was the OPO and Note 3

Let me know if you can spot the small marks on the phone
