So how does everyone feel about the direction Google is taking their Assistant?

I've personally noticed that the Google Assistant for me has gotten slower, less reliable, and much more difficult to use lately. I used to use it all the time (I came off a Windows phone using Cortana, which was pretty good in the day), but since all the "improvements" Google's made I've found the Assistant not worth the hassle anymore :-[

As usual it seems like the Assistant was working "too" good so Google needed to keep messing with it so we wouldn't get bored until they properly "fixed" it for us :-\

I have my auto updates turned off..... I think if they ever get it working good again I'm going to stop updating the Google app. Probably along with some other apps I don't want screwed up anymore lol.

For me on my Pixel 3 XL, Google Home, pixel buds or any other device have Google Assistant on, my assistant is fine. Responses are fast accurate exactly what I asked my assistant to do. I mean I don't notice that the assistant has gotten slower or less accurate honestly. I'm sorry to hear that you think that. Maybe going into your Google app and try clearing ca6 or rebooting your phone and seeing if that works at all.
