Just out of curiosity, what are you hoping to gain by moving to the X?

IPhone 8+ is a great phone. Got one for my wife. But, for me, it's boring starting with SpringBoard, etc. But, hey, I love TouchWiz so what do I know. I'll stick with Note 8.

I am using my Note 4 now. Missing the days where batteries can be instantly changed, and IR blaster.
Just being sentimental here. Carry on...

Gave my pristine Note 4 a couple of weeks ago to a friend. He just couldn't get use to the newer phones. Holding onto my Note 5 as I read on it while I hook my Note 8 to the TV with a fixed cable.

Just out of curiosity, what are you hoping to gain by moving to the X?

I know this wasn’t directed at me but I can say, for me, the X is just a solid, fast, strong device. Cameras are good, feels nice in the hand and all the normal iPhone stuff. Not the most exciting device but one you can just take for granted across the board.
