So I dropped my LG G3 ......

Re: So I dropped my phone......

Glad to hear that because I have the same case for when I'm not working and normally I go with a $5 tpu.

Re: So I dropped my phone......

I looked up the case. I guess the Grip and Anti-Slip didn't work you. LOL

I have the Ultra Hybrid but only use it at work.

Good to hear the G3 survived.

I really love this one, the price is a fine bonus.

I can vouch for the icarez tempered glass screen protector as well; its been on my G3 for about a month now and is perfect

I will still not use a case on my phone. Then again, I never drop my phone.

No it didn't, lol!! You know, its just one of those freaky things that happen when you least expect it. I swear I was just pulling it out of my pocket as I do EVERY DAMN DAY and it just magically slipped out of my hands. In all seriousness, the case is good because it protected the device from a very HARD fall but grip-wise....its not that great. I really can't take another chance of it falling again so I'll be looking for another case with better grip. Definitely surprised and glad it survived because I really thought when it smashed on the floor that it was a goner!!

Thanks for sharing! Will look for a better case for my phone too! :)

No problem and def look for something that will help keep your device safe from accidents.....we are all prone to them!

I will be ordering mine sometime this week! I'm curious in knowing if these glass protectors can protect the screen from an impact in the same fashion as normal screen protectors. Would the vibration of a hard impact transfer more easily through a glass protector rather than a plastic protector??

I will still not use a case on my phone. Then again, I never drop my phone.

All I'll say is good luck with your device and also....never say never....lol! :p

Re: So I dropped my phone......

Looks like I've found something as a direct result of the fall/impact of my device yesterday. Can't show you all right now because I don't have a camera but will try later when I get home and take a picture. Looks like the camera module on my device shifted ever so slightly. It used to be centered but now its off-center. Luckily, it doesn't affect any pictures I take with the phone but still, sucks that some damage was done. :'(

Reported!

j/k

Please don't ever post anything to with that MF!!!!!

Re: So I dropped my phone......

I agree, but some people would rather break their phone than have a case. <scratches head>

Ya know, for years I've carried a phone either without a case or a very very slim hard case. Those slim hard cases were to keep my phones from getting scratched, they did nothing to protect from hard impacts. I was careful, but even with that I dropped my phones a few times over the years, this time was just that one unlucky time.

But that was enough, Id rather spent 20 bucks now and protect the phone for re-sale than to have to spend another 100 if I drop it again.

Re: So I dropped my phone......

Wow that's great I enjoyed reading your story ! It's good that the case was on and as u said it strike the marble floor. In such situations there are hardly any chance of not breaking the Phone however you were lucky that it was not damaged.

Re: So I dropped my phone......

That's a freakin long drop lol. Thank god you had a case on that thing or it probably would have been lights out for that phone.

Hell yeah its a LONG drop and it would've def been a goner with no case on it! I don't ever (or anyone for that matter, lol!) plan on having accidents but when your hands become butter, accidents tend to happen, lol!

Exactly how I felt when I quickly ran down the flights of stairs to inspect the screen, lol! It was a HUGE relief!! :D

I can vouch for the tempered glass screen covers. I wiped out on my dirt bike with my s5 and a mime tempered glass and landed and slid on my phone and it cracked the screen cover but the phone was fine. As far as the case I had on it, it was a $5 tpu case. So I will never own a phone without a tempered glass screen cover. I've had 4 different phones with them and each one stayed like New till I got rid of them.
