We'll get the Nexus when Verizon is ready to give it to us, hopefully Dec 8, but if we don't then we don't.
Dear VerizonRocks,
To Delay means to put off, postpone, or hinder for a time. That's it. That's the definition.
If that "putting off, postponement, or hinderance" happens behind the scenes, please realize that many persons still consider that a delay. If I set a personal deadline of going to the gym by 5 pm, and I dont do it, I consider that a delay regardless of whether I happened to keep it to myself or tell another person.
To other persons, "putting off, postponement, or hinderance" must be public in order to count. So if VZW says tomorrow "hey we meant the Mayan Calendar; GNex will be out by the end of
2012," then to those people, the Gnex wont be "delayed" unless it's released in 2013.
Personally, I fall into the first category, as I feel companies are manipulating you, and public opinion, by resetting what our expectations SHOULD be. Consumers should expect a good company to have a release soon after public announcement.
If you disagree, that's fine. Reasonable people can disagree. But please don't tell me that I'm not allowed to think what I want, and must simply accept whatever and whenever "verizon is ready to give it to me."
