I really wanted to love the infinity. Maybe my expectations were too high but I bought it expecting the very best android tablet experience. I don't think it was too much to ask. I mean I spent enough on the darn thing. Ever since I bought it it has been a horribly buggy nuisance. Browsing is frequently unresponsive, apps are not tablet optimized (I know this isn't Asus fault it its still true), and the keyboard lag is still around even though they've had 3 generations to fix it.

I bought the nexus 7 to see if how it compared and see if I could live with its limitations. Suffice it to say I have been using it and love it. Its super smooth, browsing is a pleasure, and I can just throw it my back pocket if I need to use my hands. Also the soft touch plastic back is so comfortable. The infinity aluminum is cold and I was always afraid to put it on a table should it scratch it.

Not to mention I type just about as fas on it as I did with my infinity keyboard. The screen may not be as high res and I may not have a usb or HDMI port but with the money I save on this I could put it towards a decent laptop.

I know things might change when jellybean drops but i feel like even without jellybean it should run a lot better than it does.

Sorry infinity, you may be the technical cream of the Android tablet crop but you sure don't run like it.

Congratulations.

I'm thinking about getting the N7 myself but I'm gonna wait to see if Apple comes out with an Ipad mini.

I have Apple TV and with N7 I'm unable to stream to the TV.

Is the N7 really that smooth? I ask Because I own an iPad and anything that doesn't run as smooth as this iPad is unacceptable.

The N7 is super smooth. It's just as smooth as iOS.

I have a feeling this update will make the transformer surpass the N7. For some reason when you load the N7 storage to within 1-2 gigs of its capacity it slows to a crawl and that is not hard to do with only 16 gigs.

I have both devices right now and cant wait to compare them once the update rolls out. If you ask me the nexus 7 should kill the Infinity, but it has such a low I/O it lags big time.

Just wanted to update this thread. I dropped my nexus 7 from on my bed onto carpet and the screen completely busted. Can't even use the touchscreen anymore. Good thing I havent sold my infinity yet. The n7 is very fragile.
