So..quite the odd issue.

So yesterday I finally purchased my Thunderbolt, and I'm very happy with it. I've had a couple of issues (people have received texts from me from a bizzare long number), but overall I'm very happy. One thing that's really getting to me now, is I copied over my music to my SD card last night (10GB worth) and only my #,A, and half of my B artists copied over. Now, I can't add any more, and I can't delete anything off of the SD. It claims to be deleted on my computer, I even empty the trash and then when I eject and check on my phone, everything is still there. I've tried DoubleTwist, it doesn't recognize any of it, and any music I add on DoubleTwist doesn't stay after I eject the phone. I'm really confused as to what the issue could be, and could really use some help ASAP. Thank you!

That has happened to the most of the bolt owners at the beginning. It will go back to normal soon.... Should have by now...

As for the sdcard issue, I think it would be better to take it to the VZW store tech support. It's either the sdcard itself or the slot that needs cleaning.

I reseated the SD card and it's still stuck in Read-Only. Apparently this is a pretty common problem bur I can't seem to find a working fix.

Did you try rebooting? When I initially copied several gigs of music onto my SD card, it XOXO.t show until I rebooted. Dont want to be captain obvious, but it worked for me.

How did your phone turn "didn't " into XOXO.t? LOL!!!

I've rebooted several times. I can't take a picture that'll save, I can't delete any files off of my SD card, and I can't transfer anything new onto the device.

It may just be stuck or you might have a corrupted file/SD Card.
You can try unmounting and remounting the card:
Go to Settings > SD card & phone storage > Unmount SD card ...Wait until you're told that it's unmounted and then remount it. Also as mentioned try rebooting your phone.
If its a corrupted file or card you might want to reformat the card:
(It will erase everything off of your card)
From your computer.. right click on the SD Cards drive and format.

When I first got my TB I had the issue of people getting my IMEI number (the really long number) when I sent text messages instead of my phone number. I tried rebooting but that didn't help. I powered off then pulled the battery out for 30 seconds and rebooted. It worked fine after that and hasn't been a problem since. I read about that problem on a number of different forums when the phone first came out. The battery pull might also fix the issue with your SD card.

I've also had the trouble with the SD card "going away" when I'm plugged into my PC copying music over. For no apparent reason the PC doesn't see the SD card anymore and I have to unplug the PC cable and plug it back in again. I have no idea why that occurs. After I reseat the PC cable it behaves again for a while but eventually I have to go through this exercise again. Fortunately, the files I did copy to the SD card were there when I opened the music app.

Let us know if you resolved the issues.

No resolution yet but it hasn't helped that I can't get this hyper-grip Platinum case from Best Buy off of my phone now.

This is off-topic but I thought I would throw this out there. Since you just got the phone you may get prompted to do an update. Personally, I would hold off on that for a while. Since I (and many, many others) did the update I've had problems with random reboots and very poor battery life. This issue doesn't seem to affect everyone but there are enough complaints about the problem that there is a definitely a problem with the update. Had I known about the problems with the update I wouldn't have done the update. My phone worked quite well before the update and now, not so much. VZW is replacing phones with the reboot issue but they're replacing them with "certified like-new replacements" which can be worse than the one you're replacing.

Just a nickel's worth of free advice based on personal experience..

Thanks for the advice everyone! And I have avoided updating, I did my research ahead of time ;). The problem ended up just being a bum SD card that was packed in the phone. Went to Verizon and they swapped it out no questions asked and it's running like a charm now. :)
