So, the Merge's re-emergence didn't sway you... What about the D-Inc2?

Inc 2 is a big possibility. With all the bad rumors regarding 4G I'm not liking it. I mean who cares if you have 4G if it just kills the battery in 3 hours? And the Inc2 will probably be 50-100 cheaper

Stupid question. You want the Thunderbolt for the access to the 4G network. If you want to stick with 3G, you aim your wallet at any other phones on the Verizon, and get out of the TB forum.

Livin' up to the name. No reason for this when we're clearly just trying to look at other options. What IF this launch is a failure? What IF the phone doesn't live up to expectations. Most people still plan to buy the Bolt, but IF something goes wrong...

Please be respectful of others. If you only want a device with LTE then say "No, i want a device with LTE". Do not disrespect others just because your views and preferences are different. Either add to the conversation in a positive way or move along to a different thread where you can contribute.

I would not mind an LTE device...but if its going to be 300 bucks..The DINC2 might be better for me if it comes out around the same time.

I was thinking the same thing. Another option to consider.. Awesome >.< I think, if the price really is $300, I would take the Dinc2 over this Fascinate. Not sure though. I would have to decide on an impulse. Lol

This will also be my first Smartphone and I would like not to have one I regret buying...if the 4g batt. issues are true.. I rather not have to deal with it.
As much as I want to newest best thing out...i dont want my fist smartphone to be a possible dud.

Im still holding out hope that it will be 250 and the 4g/batt issues wont be when its released. Rather have a backup plan then be stuck with a failing env3.

I'd rather have the 4" screen and I live in the very last place that will get LTE, so the DInc2 would be awesome. I was going to get the TB simply because it was the latest and greatest. Release dates for the phones would sure be nice.

My language was a bit harsh. APOLOGIES.

However, I believe that my argument is still valid. Once you take 4G away from the consideration, the TB isn't a must have phone, and thus any new phone (Inc S, Merge) or any old phone (DX, D2, Inc, Fascinate) will work just as well. Heck! you can get out of Verizon network with other great options, like the Mytouch 4G, Inspire 4G, Atrix, Evo, Epic 4G.

I live in a 4G area, and really want the TB! I also want to be grandfathered in the 29.99 pricing plan, but if the TB fails then I think the DInc2 would do nicely! But I am going to hold out cuz I really really want the Thunderbolt!

Excellent point, as far as the data plan pricing. I would really prefer the form factor of the Dinc2, but 4G is pretty important to me. In my experience, Verizon's 3G speeds leave a lot to be desired.

For me I want the TB for everything it has. Sure 4G is coming soon to my market, so why not get ready and there is 4G in NY other than NYC. If the Bionic wasn't a June phone I would consider it more.

it is nice to have this as a back-up phone in case anything else transpires with the bolt. either or phone would be great honestly. I guess we'll see what happens when they both come out, but I still have my mind set on the TB.

I'm waiting to see how things pan out. Right now the Incredible 2 is looking really good. If the Thunderbolt suffers in the battery department still in the retail model and pricing is expensive or limits data, then I'll get the Incredible 2 for sure. If not, I might just get that. Or wait for the Droid 3. Who knows. ;)

I want an LTE phone since I live in an area that has LTE service and I'm tired of 3G. So, I'm waiting on the TBolt. With all the advertisement that is going on both in print and on TV, the TBolt has to be coming out very soon. I can be patient. :)

Every "2" phone I've seen offered is a mildly upgraded version of its predecessor that is severely lacking in what new models offer...not unlike the sequel to a movie. If you're due for an upgrade, get something that is significantly better.
