There's no way Verizon is just going to let anyone buy a Pure edition, pop in a Verizon sim and it just works, right?

I unfortunately doubt it will be as easily as they said. Verizon has the best service but they like to have their stamp on all their products, so they'll mess with it.

It should work like the N6. If it's not in their system then you'll probably have to jump through some hoops like activating your sim in another device first... I wish more manufacturers would do this

The Play won't be the Verizon model. The Style will be. Play won't be sold int he U.S.

Most likely vzw will have Droid turbo 2 (or maxx or whatever) and the G and the Pure will be available to use on vzw as well. I don't see how we can lose with that lineup.

As much as I don't like what VZW does to the phone and muck it up, it's not too bad once you gain root and get rid of the bloatware. And the VZW logo is something people hate but it doesn't bother me because I have a case on it and the ones in the front doesn't bother me at all.

It would have to support Verizon's network, which the play doesn't. The style should work though.

Mod Note :since all the replies are for the play , I will leave it here. Moving it to the style forum would cause more confusion. However you can start another thread there if desired.

I'd bet that a variant of the Moto X Play becomes a Verizon DROID.
