So what does every think about the Galaxy Pro S coming to Sprint?

Mughato, I have no idea what your post is trying to imply. The $10 "Tax" as you call it, is to account to the few 1000 times these phones' social networking widgets are going to ping sprint's servers...to account for the 10's of GB per month people could download on the Samsung media hub, and plenty of other data be it streaming audio, or 2 way video calling.

By the way have you priced ATT or Verizon lately? For family plans, you're STILL saving $30 a month AFTER taxing both lines for a premium phone.

Now we don't have to like the "Tax" but as long as Sprint's data plans REMAIN UNCAPPED- I'll happily pay the $10extra thank you. Meanwhile, ATT and Verizon just cappped and placed an INCREASE on data fees unless you barely use data, in which case you may actually SAVE a few $$.

My question is -- I saw someone mention that the camera is better. Does the 8mp EVO camera mean anything then? The question is will the 5mp Samsung camera out preform the EVO. I am also curious to see a comparison between the EVO 720 p video recording vs the Samsung 720P recording. I am excited to see samsung is going to have hd recording.

I exchanged EVO's out and still am thinking about going for another one of those but this phone is also tempting. I did however, like HTC Sense; I assume there is no way to put sense on another phone? I liked the big clock in the background.

What does everyone think-- all you super tech people please chime in haha.

No hope of getting sense on another phone unless its rooted and someone is crazy enough to port it over (lots and lots of porting). My recommendation is to get a phone for how it is at release, and not what it could be with updates/dev community, cause those aren't guaranteed. I'm liking the DLNA support myself, and can therefore, live without the HDMI out.

Rufflez, do you think that the EVO Camera/recording is better or worse than the samsung recording and camera. I know you can't measure it by straight mega pixels I learned that long ago. Further, EVO did horribly vs the iphone in recording.

The epic is better. The higher megapixels means the pictures are bigger and take up more space, and that doesn't do anyone any good if they look terrible to begin with.

We don't know for sure at this point, but the epic is probably competitive with the iPhone 4.

Sorry, can't answer, never personally tested the Evo. Sound quality on video recording seemed pretty bad though. We'll see when the phone is released or more video comes out. It seemed to be of good quality though.

I was just going off what I saw on YouTube, and the iPhone 4 is clearly better than the evo.

Yeah I saw the Iphone 4, the video recording on the Iphone seems like it was worth the title of 720 hd recording. How the EVO claims that I am not sure. I like the EVO dont get me wrong but there has to be a way to make the samsung sit back like the EVO does with the kickstand. You guys do feel as if the samsung camera/recording is stronger than the EVO though-- correct? Most people associate mega pixels with power of camera

You can get one of those cases with a kickstand built in. They make them for just about any phone around, check out ebay.

MP does not = power. Even the Droid x has the same MP as evo and it has a better resolution for video and pix. HTC is KNOWN for having mediocre microphones (no noise cancellation whatsoever) and mediocre cameras. Check out podcasts and the editors have said it in recent weeks.

I'm not hating on EVO- I liked the video and pics fine for viewing on the phone anyway...but now that I've returned it and await the Epic- I'm looking forward to 30fps over the EVO's 24 for video.

I just returned mine as well-- but I have to wonder why is no one talking about this? Is it just because we are being speculative at this point with no release date? Or is it that samsungs reputation has preceeded them in the mobile market?

When do you guys think the phone will come out August? September? I played this when I was waiting for the 9650 to come out-- abruptly returned it and waited for the EVO now the EPIC. I want Epic to be a final stop haha.

I actually did not return EVO because of the Epic announcement- all 3 evos I bought (me, wife, mom) had serious issues - mostly random reboots and bluetooth unpairing. And this was before and after the OTA update.

HAD evo worked reliably, we maybe would have kept 1 or 2 of the 3. - Wife couldn't get used to the loss of a real keyboard- and I was disappointed at the apparent lack of processing power (apps kept force closing) I disabled all widgets and live wallpaper and still had crashing of stock apps- unacceptable.

I don't think people are exited about Galaxy because Samsung has a TERRIBLE reputation and aren't known for serious support of smartphones- and are known for feature+ phones like the Rant or Instinct.

Personally, I think they took their time and wanted to do this 4 carrier solution based on 1 platform for some time and I HOPE they do this right and treat it as a "Galaxy" 1st and carrier differentiated product (ie: Epic) second. I don't want a bunch of exclusive features- I want the strength that comes from a unified platform, the same OS- and the only differences is perhaps Avatar preloaded on Tmobile or 4G and a keyboard on the Epic. Other than that- I hope all phones are treated equally, and full featured with no carrier imposed restrictions (ie: att sideloading, some carriers not allowing tethering etc.)

I already don't understand why some models get built in memory in addition to the Micro SD and others get a paltry built in, and a Micro SD- This is a Galaxy PLATFORM treat them all the same!

I'm very exited for Epic and Galaxy- for what it COULD BE- but if it's junk- I'll return it and get another EVO and see if that has improved since the time I've been away from it.

Until then- I'm waiting for my 4th under warranty replacement PRE as this piece of junk keeps failing on me.

well, I appologize for you're experience, but I figured I'd add something:
1) If you're apps are force-closing, it doesn't matter if you have a Snapdragon processor or not, its the apps fault, not the phone. 1 instance this happens though is if you set the phone to only use data when called upon and you have widgets that require a data connection to work. Otherwise, the app is just garbage.
