So What Is Everyone Using Their $25 Credit For?

No it can't be used towards other devices or accesories.

For my $25 i think i'm going to do the same thing i've done with my iPhone. I'll just start trying a bunch of free apps and when i find one i really want to get the paid version i'll get that.

I'll also search for apps and review from people that don't have free versions of their apps.

That's not a terrible idea Alpha. I might do the same but there are a few games I know I will get like Sonic 4 episode 2 and Dead Trigger.

Another great game we should all download the second we get our Nexus 7s is Glowball, its a free technical preview game for the Tegra 3.

I'm really considering Final Fantasy III, but am unsure about blowing $17 on it...anyone play around with it? Otherwise I can't wait to use my Slingbox app with it, plus get some office software. Hopefully my Amazon Basics bluetooth keyboard plays nicely with the Nexus 7, that thing types like a dream

$17 for Final Fantasy III? Wow! I would rather just download an emulator and play it for free for that cost.

The FFIII they have for 17$ is a remake of the DS version. The only way you could play it is either on the DS, or buy it on android. (or emulate ds on the computer) The game is very good, but 17$, maybe...

I'm getting the obd2 Bluetooth car app. That's all i know for now

Holy crap thank you. +1.

Didn't even know this existed. Just did some research and you can get an OBD2 bluetooth scanner for less than $30 on amazon!! I paid over $120 for wired one.

Thank you so much, by the way do you have any experience with the wireless vs the wired?
Are they basically the same?

Anyways, I will be getting this^. As well as probably some magazines, and apps.

Hey John. I have no experience with the wireless one at all. I wonder if you can clear codes through it? All i can say though is it looks pretty damn sweet, because it looks like you can also leave the scanner in and it will give you real-time engine readouts like horsepower, torque, gas mileage, air temp, etc....

Like you said, you still have to purchase the scanner for like 25 bucks, but i think its a really good deal for an obd2. I've always wanted to try one and now with the credit from google to help pay for the app, i definitely will.

I'm planning on getting GTA 3 and Dead Trigger.

Then I'm planning on finishing the last 3 episodes of Eureka - in HD! ($3 an episode, $9 total).

So that leaves me with $10.. I'm also planning on maybe getting the Hunger Games so I can read it. That should use the last of it. xD

i pretty much bought (yes bought, i'm an appaholic) all the apps i needed (or wanted) already so looking through the Play Store there isn't much that i'd use it on except movies and books (which i'll probably NEVER read, *ahem "Hunger Games)
i already have GTA 3, Minecraft, and Apparatus among others...

dead trigger, dark meadows, xbox magazine, a really good SNES emulator and N64 emulator. I will buy a tablet bluetooth controller from gamestop. I also have 4 bucks left on Itunes so I will transfer music to google. Trust the cloud. It works well for kindle so google will probably do better.:)

i hope the controllor works good on emulators. Gamestop also sells an HDMI adapter compatible with Nexus 7.

Per Google Play website:
"Select the content* (album, app, book, magazine, movie, song or TV show) you want to purchase.
*Note that the $25 credit may not be used to buy a subscription or in the Devices section of play.google.com toward the purchase of any devices or on any device accessories."

Google Play credit on Nexus 7 - Google Play Help

Can it be used on magazines? I'd like to test the awesome page animation.

I'd be willing to bet that it does but only it you purchase the single edition. It doesn't support subscription payments.

To you guys who were talking about the odb2 Bluetooth app / dongle, a friend of mine has it and when he mentioned it to me he sounded very impressed. Clears codes, real time monitoring all of it.

I'd like to buy an anti-virus app. Does anyone know a good one to get?

I really like Lookout. I've used it on all my devices. It does a quick scan of everything downloaded. It doesn't use a lot of battery life and works quietly in the background. Works very well for me.

I just want to buy a nice and interesting book. I was thinking I would buy the first Halo Forunner book....yes im a geek...then probably spend the rest on apps, i would like to purchase a good comic book reader, something that supports cbr cbz files. Anyone know of one?
