So, who likes jellybean?

Its amazingly good. Lots of under the hood improvements. You can't make this keyboard lag!

I've been running the leaked build for a few hours now (easily found via a Google search--the Verizon version now has fixed LTE and WiFi connectivity)

No need for a Google search -- we've had several threads with links to the various JB builds for the past 24 hours. :)

i've been in a love/hate relationship with my phone since the beginning... now it's all good... this is the way i expected my phone to be when i first bought it... so far, it's been absolutely golden

I am loving JB. I was not willing to wait for big red, but I can see them releasing it in a more timely basis that 4.04 because it is a bigger release. I know that is counter everything, but thought I would throw it out there anyway.

I LOOVE 4.1. It's Incredible. And the Port is good enough to be a daily driver. It' so smooth that i don't think i'll ever overclock again. What's the point? Lets underclock now and save more battery. Im back on ICS now, im gonna wait until Jelly Bean gets AOKP'd so i can install over my already set up rom.

I hope Verizon GNex gets it reasonably fast. I bought I Nexus so I wouldn't have to root it to get the newest updates, but VZW lost all my trust with how long the 4.0.4 update took!

Verizon sucks, I have it to, I wouldn't count on it in a couple weeks when everyone else gets it. Root your phone and you can have it today, I have it.

Who doesn't like Jellybean? It's slicker than greased moose poo.

My cholesterol is getting high from all the butter. All the butter. All. The. Butter.

Love Google now. Only thing that sucks about it is that I can't use it to open an app. Say like Facebook or something. They add that and it'll be way better than siri

Is anyone just waiting to get in a closed room and start asking it everything that comes to mind to see what this can actually do without looking stupid? Nothing inappropriate, just to see what you can get your phone to automate.

4.1 is incredible. For just a ".1" bump it is quite impressive. Google pushing out an update that was put together as well as this is: with new powerful features, various little tweaks that enhance the user experience, and something that "just works" in a relatively short time is absolutely impressive. Well done Google!

I showed one of my friends the Google Now stuff and he was impressed. He's heavily invested with Apple, as in Iphone, Apple TV, Airplay, Imac, and works in a Mac lab. He was really impressed with the overall look of ICS before, but he really liked the speed and the Google Now layout. He has an Iphone 4 and I was a bit surprised that he was really considering and Android now.

I really like where they are heading. Notifications, and Google Now are really what made me want to root my phone for the first time. Very glad I did, even if some apps aren't working yet. I know that it will only get better.

Was gonna try and hold out until the ota.....with verizon who knows when that could come. So I decided to root and flash. I absolutely love jelly bean the most amazing android operating system today. I also just typed all of this with the new with the voice recognition

Yeah, I am trying to hold out for the ota too, but I don't think I could do it. I want to root it and flash jellybean so bad, but a few thinks are stopping me from doing it. Can u guys answer some questions for me? I've rooted my droid x before, but never a device without an SD card. So if I root and flash, wiping my device, will I loose all of my pictures? And if I do, how will I get them back? Also on my old droid x I used to use my backup pro to backup all of my apps and the. Restore them after I wiped, but since the gn doesn't have a SD card, will all of my apps be lost on the phones memory? Thanks everyone! I really want jellybean and I just can't trust verizon to bring us a timely update.

When you unlock your phone, EVERYTHING is wiped. That's why it's important to have your pics and other things backed up to the cloud (Google+, Play Music, Dropbox, etc.) or on a hard drive somewhere. You won't get them back otherwise. All of my pics are automatically synced to Google+ and Dropbox, and because of that, they all still appear in the Gallery app.

The phone's memory has an SD partition. It's only automatically wiped when you unlock. Otherwise, you don't really need to worry about it getting wiped all the time when you reflash ROMs.

Ok. Thanks a lot. But I shouldn't have to worry too much about my apps and contacts because it's all backed up on my Google account, right?

Your contacts and apps will automatically start re?downloading. As for pictures and music. It won't erase. Wait are you unlocked yet? If not then when you first unlock you'll lose your pics and movies. If you don't like all that cloud stuff just back them up on your computer like I did.
