So will it come with 40GB out of the box?

More like $15, at most. 8gb tend to be between the $20-25 range.

And I remember 13 years ago, when I was six, we got a computer with a 10gb hard drive for $900. And that was considered a very good machine. I carry literally 2-3 times that in my pocket at any given time.

Heck, when I was a kid and we got our first computer it didn't even have a hard drive.

Those were the days.

Did you have the big 2-4 MB disks? Or Floppies? Even I remember floppies, haha!

It was an Apple II+:

Green monochrome monitor, resolution 280x192
1 5-1/4" floppy disc drive
1 MHz processor
64K RAM
No HDD.

Holy hell I feel old all of a sudden.

280x192....That blows my mind becuase all of the phones we own have a standard resolution of 480x800

I think it was a 12" monitor IIRC, and that was the maximum resolution of the monitor. I'm pretty sure the usable resolution was less than that.

Pretty crazy how technology has changed.

It cracks me up that you guys are focusing on the display. How about a 1 MHz processor and 16K of RAM? Think about that for a minute.

It's hard to believe that at one time there was a thought that a 1GB hard drive was all that would ever be needed for storage on a computer.

Now 1GB of RAM on a computer is a joke and it's going to become the standard amount of RAM for a phone.
