Soak Test Update Email

Just got an email and Soak Test begins tomorrow 10am PST 12 Central. I'm looking forward to this final update.

Do you lose root? Or how easy is it to reroot your phone.?

Yeah, no noticeable change. Except - this has fixed the problem I was having with my Atrix not being able to keep a connection with my AT&T Microcell. At least I'm pretty sure it has fixed it. It's been working for the past 2 days where previously it usually crashed withing several hours.

I haven't yet exhaustively tested with my microcell (used to drop calls in the past). Will let you know my results.
I have however noticed a significant improvement in battery life, is it just me?

Also wifi is constantly disconnecting. Same thing happened on my nexus one on 2.3.6

I didn't sign up for the soak test, but if I check for updates, it says 4.5.141 is available. Anyone knows if this will unroot me? (bootloader is not unlocked.)

Same situation here. I am pretty sure we will lose root.

I lost root on upgrade but good thing is that after re-rooting there is no more UNLOCKED message popping when phone boots....

You had your boot loaded also unlocked? If that's not showing up are you sure you boot loader is still unlocked?

root check app says I have root access, tethering works, other apps which require root access stopped working after update - but work fine now.....so I assume it is rooted....

The Unlocked message when the phone boots mean your bootloader was unlocked, after the update your saying the unlocked message is no longer there which indicates your bootloader is no longer unlocked. Having root access and having an unlocked bootloader are different things.
