Does any one know how to add a service to the Social Networking widget? I want to add Seesmic instead of regular Twitter. Thanks!

It's usually long press where you want the widget > select Android Widgets > And it's usually there. I haven't used Seesmic, but that's what I would suggest.

It's stock Twitter and Facebook by default. I pretty certain that you cannot add Seesmic, or any other social medial app, into to the Motorola social media widget. That's no different than on other UIs. You cannot add other apps into the HTC Sense social widget.

Sidebar: I'm annoyed that Flickr is missing from photo sharing, but Photobucket is there.

Flickr is a Yahoo product

First of all, I'm fully aware of that Flickr is a Yahoo product, I've been using it for years.

You're stating the obvious, I assume, to imply that Flickr wouldn't be on an Android (Google) OS?

Facebook, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Photobucket are not Google products, yet they are all baked into the account setup area of the X. Yahoo mail is available on the X "Setup Accounts" menu. Further, when I added the Last.fm app, its icon popped up in my account setup area.

Additionally, Flickr is available on my Droid Incredible, no app needed.

Correct, my guess would be that an agreement was made (perhaps the same reason that blockbuster is lumped in and not netflix)

Not certain, just my opinion

Not an unreasonable assumption. Motorola seems to have made a number of questionable calls here as it relates to built-in apps and widgets. Blockbuster over Netflix? I guess that was more about what's available now, but the HD2 ran with Blockbuster. I could wait on Netflix.

Maybe because I'm a photographer, Flickr is the desired choice. I seldom, if ever, hear about people using Photobucket.

The mangled integration of Facebook or Twitter pictures as the default picture (and name) source for contacts is just dumb. How in the world do you build a system on a Google-base platform and completely zero out a Google account as a feed for contact pictures and names?

It's getting to the point where I am adding so many widgets and apps that the only thing original about my device are the hard buttons and the screen.
