According to phils review on the epic he said it was tied to the physical keyboard back light settings. Well we obviously don't have a keyboard so thought maybe it was somewhere elseI think that's consistent with the other Galaxy S phones. I could not find a setting on the Epic to change this. Keep digging and maybe something will turn up.
calm down. This device is still great. Sure there a couple of inconveniences but in the end the good far outweighs the bad.
Things could be worse. You could've got an iphone and have been left with dropped calls and a broken proximity sensor. I can deal with quickly times out background lighting for capacitive buttons.

No offense, but that just isn't good enough sometimes. The more and more annoyances that are found for someone could add up to a returned phone; despite your objections that the phone is fine despite personal issue with things.
No need to bring an iphone or it's problems in here at all really.
I'm very calm I just thought I missed the setting somewhere and someone could help me out
My take on it is this...it's four freaking buttons you'll get used to where the buttons are located in due time...
Nope ...![]()
