If you have root, you might be able to use connect bot to connect locally and issue a shutdown -r -t 0 command to see if it'll reboot the phone.

Yes, I'm looking for software to reboot. I'm having a problem where if I use the button to turn the phone off it doesn't turn back on when I press the button again. I think the phone is actually turning the screen off but crashing before it shuts down because when I plug the charger in to it, the light doesn't come on like it does when it's "off".

I experienced this too I believe that when the screen cuts off the phone is still shutting down. I found that you have to wait about 5 sec before you can power back on.

Which is the convenience of having a Soft Reset app!

Hold the power button. Press the volume button rocker up and down repeatedly until it begins to reboot.

Congratulations, you just performed a soft reboot. (Note that holding the power button and hitting power off is not a soft reboot! That is called shutting down! It doesn't reboot, folks)

On my pre I had a program that would auto restart my phone at like 3 in the a.m. I would love to have that program for my evo to do the same, or even a program that you can choose shutdown or restart...

Hmmm. I don't know about that. I didn't try it until after I rooted. It may work with unrEVOked.

It can even put a widget to reboot the phone for you.

Not seeing this function with Quick Boot.
