Soft Touch Buttons not lighting up?

Yeah, they stopped lighting up today. Any fix?

With the screen on, put your finger across the top to block any light from reaching the sensor or bring it into a dark room... If it doesn't light up, you may have an issue either with the sensor or the light itself... Contact Verizon... I don't think there are any settings that are dedicated to the soft keys, unless someone else can enlighten me...

Yeah there must be something wrong with the hardware. It wont light up no matter what

I hate to suggest it... But have you tried a battery pull?

I would go to Verizon because it has to be hardware issue. I'm almost positive there are no options to disable the light.

this just happened to me with my droid 2. It randomly shut off and it didn't want to turn back on but when i finally got it to turn back on the buttons were not lighting up or the keyboard, i turned it off and on but still nothing. i let it sit and it started working again.
