Android Central Question

Please bear with me.... I have an LG G4. It says it is using version 6.0. I checked for a sofware update to Nougat, but it says I am running the most up to date version for my OS. Does this mean my phone is so old that 6.0 is as far as I will ever go?

GSM Arena says that LG G4 is planned to upgrade to Nougat. That would likely be the end of the line.

In fact, it may be out and just waiting for your carrier to pass it through if you have a carrier branded phone.

If you have a carrier branded phone, visit the support pages of their website for announcements.

I'm using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 128gb with straight talk and getting the same message and I know back in July Verizon added nougat 7 to the S6.anyone else dealt with this or can help.I don't get it it's a Verizon phone on Verizon tower's and Verizon SIM;only difference is i pay straight talk.why won't Verizon acknowledge my phone?

It may be a Straight Talk SIM for Verizon but it's not a VERIZON SIM. You need an actual Verizon SIM (even one that's not activated) to get the Verizon update.
