Software Update Rumors 5.1.1

I'm playing with a device that's on 5.0.0 and I'm not caring. It's still lollipop and it still works.

As for the S6 we will get it when we get it. At least right now my S6 is doing well, takes great pics, and has strong battery life. I'll take a minor update or two, but I'm in no rush for 5.1.1.
It will happen when it happens.

Same here. My S6 running 5.0.2 is awesome enough and I'm in no rush for the update. I admit new features and performance enhancements are nice...but I'm happy with the phone the way it is.

If the new update doesn't help with battery life at all I'm switching my sim card back to my iPhone six plus

Cool. Whichever device you eventually chose, I sincerely hope it works for you and you are happy. Being happy with your device, regardless of brand is important.

The battery life is the one thing I hate about the s6. I find myself always using the s6 until it dies and then I use my six plus. If the battery life was better on the s6 I would probably only use the six plus for imessage. It's so frustrating. I used to consistently get 8-9 hours per charge on my s4 but on the s6 I'm lucky if I see five hours

GS4 has a larger battery. My battery life is better than my wife's GS4, both on AT&T.

Wow...that's horrible! Assume you've tried to clear your cache? I know it's painful to do, but you may want to try a Factory Reset.

I consider my battery life pretty poor (I have the Cell Standby drain) but I generally get 2.5-3.5 hours SoT and about 12-14 hours in Standby and I have utilized every battery saving tip possible. You don't even seem to have any Cell Standby drain so something else is going on with your S6. Your battery life is not even functional, in my view.

I have literally tried every single battery saving tip I could find online. Even factory resetting my device. I'm just glad I still have my iPhone six plus with the abysmal battery life I am getting

Try Friendcaster or restrict background data on FB. Do you have wifi on all the time? Depending upon your location, router or ISP, that could be draining your battery. Smart network switch to off. Location to GPS only?

I have background data switched off for all apps in my settings. I turned off all notifications on the Facebook app itself too. Also turned off the smart network switch. Only use mobile data and my location is completely switched off

What's Friendcaster? I'm willing to try anything at this point

Also have a 6+ and agree that the battery is phenomenal. I can't put the S6 down tho. Perhaps at some point I'll go back to the 6+. In the meantime I still use it on WiFi. While the battery is lacking on the S6, it is fine for my usage and using the 6+ while at home on WiFi no doubt helps my S6's battery. Those with more demanding usage should always put battery size and life above all else. Some have gotten a mophie case to solve their lack of good battery life. I don't think one should have to do this, but just saying that some do and have a much better experience. The iPhone 6+ is quite the awesome phone and i'll surely keep mine a good long while. Just don't care for the ios lack of customizations and tweaking which is why I've come back to android. Hope you get it sorted out.

Is the mophie case out yet for the s6?
