Yeah, I mean Just because there is new wireless spectrum space, doesn't mean carriers will utilize it. We can just all hope that they will!

Yeah, for sure. I mean. Like I told you, my mobile network settings are on "CDMA/LTE" and not "Global". Just to turn 5G off for the meantime. This also saves quite a bit of battery life as well.

Usually i get it the day of and it has never been an issue. This is only the second time I'm running into this since I've been a customer for the last 6 years so I can forgive them.

Not quite sure why Google would wait so long to update their Google FI customers.

Because there is a new 5G Stand Along network support just being added. That's for T-Mobile and Google Fi as it leases T-mo network. The SA 5G is the true 5G network by itself and has much lower latency and future speed boost.
