New to the smartphone world and not interested in rooting my Moto G4 Play.
Just trying to confirm: Android security patches can or cannot be manually applied -- ?
Everything I've read so far indicates that all OS updating is vendor/mfg push only, and that if you don't receive such updates there's nothing you can do. Is that true? If not, how can security patches be manually applied?
