solution?Note 5 black screen with little x on the bottom

Does any one the solution to the screen going black with little x on the bottom after receiving a pop up from gear vr. and now my screens goes black often. I already factory reset it both ways n nothing changed.
please help!!.... thank you.

I've been having the same problem off and on for a week now. I don't know what initiates that Gear VR message but when it does my phone won't charge properly.

When the phone is plugged into the charger, it will continually start and stop charging as though I was unplugging and re-plugging the micro usb plug.

I had the same problem. It is a charging port problem. Take it back to your carrier and get them to replace it. I had done a factory reset, new cable, new wall wart as well as tried my wife's note 5 cable. None of those things fixed the issue.

Wife had the same issue months back. Sent to samsung repair place in Texas. Replaced charging port. Plus since the year it apart replaced screen.
 
My Note 5 is now a year plus a month or two old so it isn't covered by the Samsung warranty. It's an AT&T phone bought at Best Buy which I used a credit card that adds another year of warranty.

Do I go back to Best Buy, contact Samsung or Visa warranty to get it either repaired or replaced?
 
Umm i don't know, i probably would start with samsung, tell them and see what they say. I just did the online chat when we set hers up but you may want to try calling, could be faster.
