Solution to getting rid of KITKAT System Update Notification (for those who don't want to update)

Sooo... apparently kit Kat isn't a good thing to have?
The worst thing about kitkat is that it doesnt let 3rd party apps write to your sd card. For instance a picture editor or even picture vault can no longer write to your sd card off of google play. It makes it so ONLY the apps that came on your phone can write to the sd card. So your phone gallery you can move pictures from your internal storage to sd card but a downloaded gallery viewer cannot. Picture vaults you could decide where the pictures were stored...of course 64gb sd card holds more than 16gb internal memory that is already half used by phone systems... so now say you have 8gb of....ahem...not so good pictures on your phone which are stored on your sd card...you use a picture vault to hide them....on jellybean it would hide from gallery and store within the vault app on your sd card. Kitkat makes it so those pictures on your sd card are still hidden, but the app can no longer write to your sd card so it puts all 8gb on your internal. So options are dont hide them at all if you dont care....or delete them if you want nobody to see. Same with any song or ringtone editor altho you may be able to move that file from one internal folder to an sd card folder by a phone supplied file manager because the manager was on the phone originally. Just makes the steps harder. If you have a phone that lets you hide folders from the gallery then that works kinda but is still able to be retrieved most likely without a password like the downloaded vaults have.
I understand why phones need to update especially from verizon ad such but they should only update while youre under your contract. I think something you buy outright shouldnt force updates. My galaxy tab3 is prompting for kitkat right now and I think I shouldnt have to since I bought it outright with no service agreements. Its like buying lemon lime gatorade and them changing to fruit punch because they think its better. Kit kat makes sd cards useless to a point...

I solved my issue by only disabling the notification.
Press the notification app and keep pressing until you get an "App info" menu.
Tab the "App info" button and you will get into the process details.
Uncheck the "Notification" checkbox.

The download (there are few hundreds of MB) will remain on your device but you will get rid of the notification.
