Did anyone else encounter their Bluetooth dropping in the car while playing media? and also the most annoying thing now is when I make a phone call I can't hear my phone dial in my car I can only hear it on my phone. It forces me to choose on my phone Bluetooth to my car device that's the only way it works not. This never happened until this stupid update for May.

Re: Bluetooth auto problem after May update

I have been getting some random drop-offs as well. Notice it on my Fitbit when I am within range. Comes back eventually without me doing anything.

Re: Bluetooth auto problem after May update

For me, since launch my P6 drops from my Toyota after a few mins....so annoying

Re: Bluetooth auto problem after May update

Yes I have noticed the May update has made Bluetooth much worse. I get random drops when I'm out running and my Jabra Activ's lose connection for maybe half a second. My Garmin watch sometimes can't synch until I turn Bluetooth off/on again, which is probably the most annoying thing. Plus if I'm streaming audio in my car I will get random drops here or there now. Well 1 step forward in stability, and another 2 backwards in Bluetooth stability.:(

Re: Bluetooth auto problem after May update

Yep, I feel like the more they try to fix stuff the worse it keeps getting lol. For sure this is not hardware-related since it's been working for the longest time for me up until now.

Re: Bluetooth auto problem after May update

I have noticed issues with my bluetooth since the update, but it is different than users above. My just won't connect. Whether I try to connect to a car or headphones, it takes several tries before it connects. And my car have had issues. One told me I had to delete the connection and start over and the other fails to download call lists or contacts. Not sure what Google changed with BT, but maybe everyone needs deleted and started fresh.

Re: Bluetooth auto problem after May update

So for weeks, I've been struggling with this issue. Today I finally figured out what the cause.... turns out the cause of the problem was my smart watch most smart-watches nowadays can answer calls on their watch so for some odd reason the phone will try to respond with my watch first and not able to answer from any other Bluetooth devices such as car speaker or Bluetooth headset. For the longest time, I was struggling trying to figure out what could be the cause.

- Was it the May update?
- I even tried your typical unpair and repair Bluetooth devices for both my phone and my speakers etc.. with no luck.
- June update didn't help

I even message google for help explain my issue and of course, they will mention trying safe mode and see if there's an app causing it. I'm thinking and went through my app I can't see any of my apps doing this. Then I started to think is it possible that a hardware device might be a trigger to this issue? like my smartwatch. So I went to test that theory. Went to my Bluetooth and click on my smartwatch to disable the call option to my watch and other possible links to receive calls from my watch. Then I simply tested with my Bluetooth headset and made a test call it went straight to my Bluetooth headphones before it was looking for my watch then went straight to my phone if I want to hear it on my headphones or car I would need to go to the phone app and choose which Bluetooth device to listen to my call. Voila! I was right after all after making that change to my smartwatch. So therefore if you ever encounter this issue like myself and if you have a smartwatch. Give that a try. Hope this helps!
