Just got my new Thrive today. WiFi is all set up, I can browse web and gmail. I can browse Android Marketplace, and can purchase and download apps. But I can't install anything? Everything I've tried just hangs on "Downloading" after I click install on the 'MyApps' screen. Tried a few purchased programs, Kindle Reader, Google Maps updates. Everything hangs and just sits there ...
Any ideas?
SOLVED UPDATE: thanks for the replies everyone (below), those are important tips to be done. My solution is a bit embarrassing, but since this might help someone else:
It was a [hardware] firewall issue on my home network. Even though HTTP / HTTPS / SMTP traffic and several other services were enabled, not everything was enabled ... Apparently the Marketplace downloads occur on ports other than 80 / 443 ... as soon as I relaxed the rule to allow "all services" ... bingo - everything worked. I overlooked this since all the other internet based activities were working fine
