Some Clickbate for Everyone

Personally I find iPhone and IOS the most boring thing and I would never consider buying one. I belive the majority and especially young folks buy it due to the fruit logo and the illution of status it brings.

And once you build a ecosystem over a couple years it's hard to leave it due to being used to it and the cost of changing over to a new ecosystem. Apple was just the ones that built a good ecosystem first and a long time ago.
Yeah, it's like a habit. Once you develop a habit, it can be difficult and sometimes expensive to change it.

I've never done video, just photo, but that cruise sounds fun. When is it?
A couple weeks our 10 Year Anniversary is Wednesday. It's called Rock Legends cruise just a 4 day cruise with one stop in the Dominican it's called Porta Playa I think. All other days concerts from 10am to 2am all day 3 stages every day. Can't Wait!

That sounds awesome! Congratulations on your anniversary.
Thanks! We love going to concerts it's our thing he likes getting guitar pics and I have a bunch and collect setlist. But I really wanted this phone for the cruise to take pics and video. I have Verizon phone is unlocked but how does it work does anyone know do I call them and say I am going on a cruise will I not be able to text. I don't care about Facebook and stuff I'll be too busy.

It's interesting that Samsung phones usually cost as much or more than iPhones... not sure where that status symbol impression comes from? 🤔😄

That's the problem my father has. In his opinion: Apple software (especially MacOS) has down downhill, and he wants to move away from Apple. But it's hard for him to do so as he's locked into the Apple ecosystem.

I leaned from that and avoided becoming locked into that system. That's why I can comfortably use an iPhone, an Android tablet, and a Windows laptop. Once you avoid the iOS-only Apple software (e.g. Apple Maps), there's not much difference between using iOS and using Android.

I don't use it a lot. But, I use it enough.
I always say I'm going to watch a YouTube tutorial and that I need to use the s pen more and I don't know how. And I never do watch videos on it like I say I'm going to. I only like to use it to take a picture because I can't reach the circle when I'm doing a selfie. But I think now the little circle you push to take the picture you can move it up on your screen so my thumb would reach it now.

Because for quite a while. Samsung and other Android devices were usually priced (and still are in most cases) cheaper than an iPhone. Until the last six or seven years, Galaxy S series phones were usually $200 to $300 cheaper than an iPhone. But, being dumb 'Mericans, we conflate cost with quality. Apple has always marketed its products as if you own one our devices you are affluent. Only poor people use Android devices.

The Pixel 8 Pro is $400 cheaper than an iPhone 15 Pro. It is also a much better phone than the iPhone (but not as good as the S24 Ultra). Yet, people will pay the extra $400 just to have the latest iPhone and they don't even own an iPad or Mac.

Why? Because the iPhone is more expensive and therefore its better.

One reason I don't own a Mac is because it's basically disposable despite its price. I don't even like oem desktop PC due to proprietary parts, especially motherboard. Build your own also means ability to upgrade or replace parts rather than recycle the entire computer.
