Some options for phone insurance

Enquared seems to be the best balance of comprehensive insurance and good price. I'll go with them.

Yea, I'm surprised no one here is even talking about what I posted.

They have the best pricing and offer the most options. Seems to be fairly reputable too.

I checked SquareTrade site and they say all plans have $99 deductible. Silly Putty, how did you get one that has $50 deductible?

Ensquared does seem to be a good choice, but I'll tell you why I like Worth Ave Group slightly better.

1. Ensquared--$75 deductible. Worth Ave--$50 deductible.
2. Ensquared--you must insure the phone the first 30 days. Worth Ave--anytime.
3. Ensquared--they up the deductible to $100 after more than one claim. Worth Ave--no limit on claims, same deductible.
4. Ensquared--$99 for two years. Worth Ave--$108.80 if you use the coupon. Ensquared's initial cost is lower, but later costs are higher.
5. Ensquared's BBB rating--B+. Worth Ave--A+ Before you get too impressed, Assurion's (the ins. carrier for Att, Verizon, etc) BBB rating is A+.

I can't find Ensquared's replacement policy. I suspect it is similar to Worth Ave's, which is: they send you to a repair facility. If it cannot be repaired they give you the replacement value of the phone. In the end, both of these are probably just about equal, and they both offer loss and theft.

Does anyone know if you can add the AT&T monthly insurance IF you bought the Unlocked developers version direct from HTC?

I'm about 90% sure they do.

Okay, thanks!
Maybe you have a special standing/ premium member? I was quoted $10/mo (twice) from ATT.
There's a $6.99 and a $9.99 option. The $6.99 is the slandered loss, theft, liquid/physical damage, ect. The $9.99 option is that plus advanced tech support (or something like that), and mobile locate.
I know with Asurion your only allowed 2 claims in a calendar year and you get a refurbished device back. I work in the repair industry and if a refurb is done right its ok. But ive heard and read of many complaints about Asurion units.
Now add the high deductible. In some cases its cheaper to pay for a repair your self and ONLY file an insurance claim for lost/stolen OR liquid / extreme physical damage.
I have gotten new devices from Asurion, so it might depend on what's available, I am not sure.

I just walked into the local AT&T store to get my 64gb DE edition activated and they offered me their insurance! I took it as I wasn't sure I was even allowed to have it given I have an unlocked DE. Of course, if this thing ever craps out and I need a replacement I assume they'll give me an AT&T 64gb edition.

Thanks for this thread. I need to get insurance ASAP, and it's nice to see options other than Assurion.

Best Buy plans are about the same price, but they have no deductible. Not sure exactly what they cover anymore...
Everything but lost and stolen.

Technically, they don't cover full water submersion, but the sales people don't particularly care- they want to sell their insurance to you, so as long as you just say "i spilled water on it", you're fine. They have no way to prove your **** was dropped in a pool or something.

Also, be careful when declining the service. Some BB folks get real snippy and drop their keys on your phone.

Any evaluation or review of Best Buy's warranty? For someone like, who would most likely drop their phone, not lose it, and need it replaced immediately and not have a ton of cash upfront (college student probs..) it fits my needs. My brother had it for a little until he invested in an otterbox. I don't really wanna get an otterbox lol. But yeah. I couldn't find any recent good/thorough reviews by googling :(

Bumping it up. I'm wondering the same thing as you.

I decided to go with AT&T's $6.99/mo Asurion Coverage since it seemed to be the most painless way to replace a damaged phone. The deductible is steep ($199) but not having insurance at all is pretty risky with such a high priced phone.

I have BB's insurance on my GS3. Currently waiting for my shipment on the One this may 1st *my bday*!!!. They have replaced my phone due to water damage, then when I dropped it, and when the vibration stopped working. No questions asked either. I just brought it in and said what happened and they took it from me and I had it back in about a couple of days. I also could pay 50 bucks to use a phone for the time being then they would give me the 50 bucks back but I had my old phone I used. I think I will continue using them.

Looks like Worth Ave Group is the way to go since it's cheaper ($147 for 3 years of coverage w/ "newcustomer" Promo Code) and has more coverage options than most - though device loss not due to vandalism or burglary is an important exception. Thanks for the heads up all!
