Android Central Question

I use the standard gallery app on my S10. I have my photos organised into folders within it like most people do. I have a meme folder with around 400 photos. I can see them all when viewing from the gallery app, but on twitter when I'm trying to add a photo to a tweet I'm making, only around 100 of those photos appear. This has been an issue for me since day one. I've done everything I can think of to sort it, to no avail.

One thing that did make a change was that I went to the folder in my gallery, selected all photos then the 'download' option, which started downloading an extra copy of each selected photo. I stopped the process after 10 or so photos, as when the copy was downloaded it appeared to be exactly the same as the original (both had the cloud icon that I assume means that it's synced). The photos that had a copy made before I ended the process now appear when I look at them from inside twitter.

Also, when using the standard photo navigator on the twitter this issue occurs, but if I choose the 'more' option at the bottom of the folders list it opens my phone's file explorer and from there I can access the folder and see all of the photos, they're just not appearing without my doing that extra time-consuming step.

No idea what's going on

If you're syncing, what you have on your phone are thumbnails, not real picture files. You downloaded the actual picture files.

It's supposed to - when you look at the thumbnail, you shouldn't see any difference from the original, but it takes up a lot less space on your phone.

The photos that had a copy made before I ended the process now appear when I look at them from inside twitter.
Because you now have the actual picture files on the phone.

Now you do. (You can't upload a thumbnail.)
