Recently I made some "Tates" chocolate chip cookies for the gym potluck. Tates is a brand of thin, crispy cookies used in Ina Garten's Mocha Icebox Cake!






Drumheller Fountain on the UW campus. Mt Rainier is in the faded background. It is in the gap to the right of the big plume.












The sea lions are migrating, so from hundreds down to these few and today there were none




Setting up my OLD (70 years old!) model trains for my grand nephew in LA. A screengrab of a video.

The Hollywood Bowl. Rhiannon Giddens and friends. Excellent, EXCELLENT concert. Frankly, I'd never heard of her but my tastes in music are mostly Classical. Steve Martin was a special guest. Banjos galore.

They had extended their vacation here this year.

"The sea lions have been coming to the marina for around the past three years. They usually show up in December and leave around May. Then they head south to San Francisco and San Diego."
