Some unwanted malware keeps launching phone browser. How do I find it and remove it?

Hello,

Malware keeps launching the phone's browser, whether I'm online or not.

I have tried force stopping the browser, clearing its cache, and then clearing its data but it launches again a few minutes later.

It always tries to connect to various ad sites.

I cannot uninstall the phone's browser, neither can I disable it. In any case, I want the malware that's causing this.

My phone is a HTC Desire 626. It is not rooted.

I have uninstalled all the apps that I installed. The browser still launches.

Please help me!!

Try running an antimalware app like Malwarebytes or Sophos.

Try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus. (Run one, let it finish (which could take overnight, then run the other one.) One of them should find it.
