Hello, I had a 2.3 rom on my OV, worked fine, but wanted to go back to stock. So I formatted my sd card, downloaded the .zip, put it on there, rebooted into recovery, wiped cache then flashed it. Now I turn on my phone and it plays the virgin mobile little song, and goes to the android screen where the word android lights up and goes across. But it never gets past this, it goes back to that screen over and over. And when I hold in power, home, and voume down, it says LG, then the screen turns black, (the 4 buttons are lit up) but never goes to the recovery screen.

Please help me!

Did you also wipe the data/factory reset as well? If not, try that, from recovery.

I had to on couple of different phones I had and solved my rebooting issue.

Always do a full system and cache wipe when switching to a fresh ROM. Only time you should only clear just cache is if you are flashing an update of the existing ROM.

maybe I didn't make myself clear, I can't get into the recovery. I hold home, volume down, and power, and it goes to a black screen.

I don't have the optimus but this thread might help
For noobs by a noob. If you're stuck on the boot screen and can't access recovery. :) [Archive] - xda-developers

That won't work on the Optimus V. We cannot flash the official firmware. The files are broken.

Try the fastboot method for flashing back to stock. It should work no matter what: http://forums.androidcentral.com/op...astboot-style-fastest-easiest-way-around.html

You don't have to worry about putting your phone into debugging mode. Do the fastboot flash option 2 while the phone is booting throught the VM logo or while it is stuck on the black screen in your recovery.

nothing is working! fastbootroot says it can't find my phone, and I got that software update kdz thing to work for a big, but it will invariably say there's an error. But I do get my phone to say LG download is in progress do not disconnect cable, but it doesn't seem to do any good.

Fastboot is your only hope. You need to install the fastboot drivers and get it to recognize your phone. There are only three ways to save your phone:
  1. Get adb to work with root access.
  2. Get into your recovery.
  3. Get into the bootloader and use fastboot.

Nothing else will work with our phones. If the first two are failing you, you are only left with option 3.
