So I've had my Galaxy S3 for about a year and 4 months now. I occasionally drop it every once in a while like any clumsy teenager, but I've never purposefully tried to break my phone.
So like always, I dropped my phone on carpet from my hand. It's fine. But like three hours later, I go to check my phone, and a corner of the screen is blacked out, and the rest of the screen is dimmed and kind of tinted. I can still use the phone like normal, but sometimes I touch the screen and nothing happens. Sometimes, it's bright, and sometimes it's really dark. And if I squeeze the corner of the phone that's most affected, then it can make things better or worse. The screen itself isn't shattered; it's just the display of the screen that's broken.
I was going to take it in to Verizon to get it fixed because I can't do this stuff myself. I was wondering, would fixing this take longer than an hour or two? I can't be without my phone.
Also, side question, if I end up just getting a new phone, will all of my contacts be on my SIM card? And since I have a Samsung account, will all of my pictures on this phone be saved to Samsung Link, or do I have to transfer ever single picture from my phone to my laptop? I don't have a microSD card in my phone.
