Songs suddenly skip

Hello, I have been dealing with this problem since I bought the phone or few days later. My songs suddenly skip right in the middle of them. I listen to a song, with headphones plugged or not and the music player suddenly changes to the next song.
I have a 16GB memory card which I used previously for 2 years in my other phone. It might have viruses? What should I do?

Welcome to Android Central! All the music is on the SD card? I'd try a new card. SD cards don't last forever. As they start to age, you may get more data errors.

Did you try the suggestion of B. Diddy? I'm noticing the same issue with my P8 Lite.

I didn't try yet. I went on the official Huawei live chat, and talked with a emplyee from there. he told me to do some stuff at the phone but the issue is still there.

What brand of SD card are you using? I can confirm that I have had *some* lag with a Samsung microSD in my Huawei P8 Lite - noticeable to the point that after I removed it my phone operated much more smoothly. I think Huawei recommends one or two brands of microSD on their site. Look it up.
