So i just purchased a set of Sony WF-1000XM3... And im disappointed.

First of all, every time i take 1 side off, the music stops. So i have to reach out for my phone to continue listening to music. Not sure why it doesnt start playing by using gestures(1 tap to pause/play, 2 taps to skip current track and 3 taps to go to the previous track).

Second, it doesnt have wireless charging.

Third, the sound isn't as good as what reviewers are saying it out to be. Its GOOD but not WOW or OMG THIS IS THE BEST EARBUDS etc.

Fourth, the Earbuds tends to get loose while eating...

For a USD$300 Earbud, id rather get the USD$100 Galaxy Buds.

Thanks for sharing your view of the ear buds. sorry to hear that It's not working for you. I have a couple of thoughts....

I'm using the Jabra 65t active elite ear buds. I'm generally happy with it. Sound is pretty good. But would never compare to larger headphones. With the Jabra there is a setting to keep the music playing or stop it if one of the earbuds are removed from the ear. The Sony may have a similar setting.

I also find that I have to fiddle with position the Jabra ear buds so that the sound is projected directly into my ear canal to get the best sound. When the sound is directed into the ear canal it sounds more muddled.

Hopefully this helps them sound and work better.

Thanks for sharing. I considered getting this at one point. How is the noise cancelling?

Noise Cancelling is good. But for $300 id recommend adding another $100 and get the WH-1000XM3.
The WH-1000XM3s also have the LDAC protocol which is excellent, but some people can't use over the ear headphones or prefer earbuds.

I looked so promising. The lack of features that others have changed my mind about getting them.
Features are one thing, but it should be pointed out that sound quality can't be judged on intial trials. It takes a varying amount of burn in time for the buds or headphones to mature. Many buds and headphones get poorly rated by people who don't spend enough time with them.

As an example many people hate the Galaxy Buds. I did too, initially, but they have gotten better over time. My main complaint is that they are not loud enough.

I agree that the Galaxy Buds are not loud enough. However, I like them because they are light, the case is compact and can be wirelessly charged. They also have BT 5.0 so they have pretty good range.

The range isn't a problem but they do cut in and alot in certain areas at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. They are picking up interference from something.
I do like how they feel in ear compared to other buds.

I just bought the Sony's yesterday and I was disappointed too. I am going to play with them for another week and see if they get any better. I also have the galaxy buds. At first I didn't like them either. They were not loud enough. I played with the settings and got them louder. The Sony earbuds are not very loud and there is not much you can do about it. I'm thinking about trying the Powerbeats Pro next. I really want to like the Sony earbuds because all the reviews say they are the best.

Not to forget. You can increase and decrease volume with the Galaxy Buds but not on the WF-1000XM3.

I learned from Youtube how to increase the volume of the Galaxy Buds. You definitely get a better value for your money with the Galaxy Buds.

This is one thing I don't like. Being able to control volume on the ear buds is a must for me. It's inconvenient having to go to the phone all the time to do this.

I went back to using the Sony earbuds. It seems after using them for a while they seem to get louder. I cannot recommend people to buy them over the Galaxy Buds. I only got the Sonys because I had a discount at Best Buy.

Yup. For the price i would expect it to be way better than the Galaxy Buds.

Thanks for the info. I'd probably get them too if I had a discount.

Hi, if anyone is interested, I have a like new pair of the Sony earbuds WF-1000XM3 in box with all...only used a couple of times, but my commute has change (I drive now) and I no longer need them...PM me if interested...Thanks

I didn't go for the Sony's, as much as i wanted to, because of the lack of features. The reviews were amazing and I was close to buying them. Then i saw a video about the Lypertek Tevis. £100 in the UK and they are brilliant. They have passive noise cancelling and to be honest, when the tunes are playing I hear nothing else. Fit really well, battery is insane with 10 hours playtime and a further 70 hours from the case. Full features and waterproof. Highly recommended.
