Sony WF-1000XM3 Bluetooth ear buds, not a great experience.

I didn't go for the Sony's, as much as i wanted to, because of the lack of features. The reviews were amazing and I was close to buying them. Then i saw a video about the Lypertek Tevis. £100 in the UK and they are brilliant. They have passive noise cancelling and to be honest, when the tunes are playing I hear nothing else. Fit really well, battery is insane with 10 hours playtime and a further 70 hours from the case. Full features and waterproof. Highly recommended.

Well for me... Id rather use the Galaxy Buds. The gestures are useful. With the Sony, i noticed that i needed to use my phone to do basic stuff such as lowering the volume.

So i just purchased a set of Sony WF-1000XM3... And im disappointed.

First of all, every time i take 1 side off, the music stops. So i have to reach out for my phone to continue listening to music. Not sure why it doesnt start playing by using gestures(1 tap to pause/play, 2 taps to skip current track and 3 taps to go to the previous track).

Second, it doesnt have wireless charging.

Third, the sound isn't as good as what reviewers are saying it out to be. Its GOOD but not WOW or OMG THIS IS THE BEST EARBUDS etc.

Fourth, the Earbuds tends to get loose while eating...

For a USD$300 Earbud, id rather get the USD$100 Galaxy Buds.

I think galaxy buds are the best to work with Note 10 plus...slim...amazing sound...connects so fast and easily

Maybe I'm just putting too much stock in reviews, but the Galaxy Buds reviews aren't great compared to the Sony's. Especially when it comes to sound quality which is the most important aspect to me.

Galaxy Buds are mediocre.
Not bad, not great.

That's basically what I've read. Galaxy Buds are better than OG AirPods, but not as good as the Sony's, AirPod Pros, or PowerBeats Pros. Those are the three I think I've narrowed my choice down to.

Sony has awesome sound quality. But the lack of gestures pisses me off a lot. - _-.

You didn't download the Sony Headphones Connect app didn't you?

All the features you are looking for is in the app. The auto stop music can be turned off in the app. Playback controls setups are in the app, as well as sound quality control and equaliser. So please, download the app.

I have the Sony wf-1000xm3 and find them excellent, they are definitely loud enough, if you don't think they are loud then you are either deaf, doing something wrong or got a faulty pair.
It takes a little while to find the right position in the ears and with the right eartips but when you do, then nothing else come near them sound wise.
I have Galaxy Buds Plus, Jabra 75t,Edifier TWS NB plus a few others to compare with and the Sonys are totally superior.

I have the Sony and the buds plus. The Sony sound is far superior. Lot more bass.
The fit isn't as good as the galaxy buds plus.
Sony has improved the gesture control through updates, but in the galaxy wearable app, under the "labs" tab, you can set up multiple gestures that I really like.
I like that I can easily take the sony's out of my ear without accidentally touching the gesture panel. That's one thing that annoys me about the buds plus. I keep them both as for me, they serve different purposes. Sony is for superior sound, galaxy buds plus is for secure fit and working out.
The galaxy buds plus also have wireless charging and awesome battery life

I can pair mine, but I get absolutely no volume thru the Sony buds! Tried everything! Junk?
