Hello,
i have Sony Xperia U and i can not use WhatsAppWeb.
When i open WhatsAppWeb, about 3/4 or 4/5 of my screen is black so i can not scan QR code.
Scanning on Viber and NeoReader works ok.

Are you trying to use Whatsapp web on your phone? If that's the case, you need to clear cookies and open the site in desktop mode. I haven't tried on a phone but it worked on a tablet a few months ago.

UPDATE: I just tried on Chrome on my phone and the QR code shows up fine. Are you using a different browser?

I am using whatsapp on my phone and it works fine.
I want to activate whatsapp on my PC.
I can not use WhatsAppWeb on my phone because my screen is almost entirely black.
I have not that problem on viber.
You can see the images below.
I use wifi on PC.I have installed WiFi hotspot (virtual router) on my PC and i use internet via that hotspot on my phone.I do not know is that a problem?

Ah! OK! So you're trying to scan the code from your computer into your phone. Gotcha! I really don't know why Whatsapp would show the screen like that and other apps wouldn't (I have no issues on mine, but I don't have an Xperia phone). I would make sure Whatsapp has permissions to access the camera. If you try to send a camera picture to any of your Whatsapp contacts on your phone, does the same thing happen to the camera?

Also, have you tried scanning the QR code with another QR Code app? I;m not sure what it'll do or if it'd help, just a thought.

Thank you very much for your answers.
I have tried scanning the QR code with NeoReader and it works fine.
It is possible to send a camera picture to WhatsApp contacts too.I have problem with WhatsAppWeb only.

Then it's definitely an app bug. Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing it? Or clearing cache first? Just make sure to back up your conversations first before you uninstall or you'll lose them.

I have tried everything (uninstalling/reinstalling app, clearing the cache, deleting whatsapp folder completely with ES File Explorer, changing the app.version, changing the firmware to the newest one)...it's the same thing. It's the app. bug definitely.

UPDATE: I MADE IT !!!
Step by step:
1.Open WhatsAppWeb in Chrome or other similllar program or download and open WhatsApp for Windows from official WhatsApp web page.
2.Open WhatsApp/WhatsAppWeb on your cellphone and tap on "Ok,got it".
3.Direct Your phone to QR code (the phone can not scan the QR code because the screen is almost entirely black).
4.Press the "power off" button on Your phone (it will appear normal screen for about 1 second and You will see that QR code is focused on right). So,to catch the QR code,You need to:
5.Move the phone a little left and then press the "power off" button on Your phone...about one second is enough to catch the QR code, send that code to WhatsApp server and activate WhatsApp on PC.

Wow! I'm glad you got it working but this is one nasty bug Whatsapp needs to get sorted out! I hope you submitted a bug report!
