SopiGuard Skins

Prior to SopiGuard, I had only used DBrand; the tittanium and black dragon ones, and both had a nice grip to it, ridged feel, non-slippery. But again, I used then with cases.

Never had issues with my dbrand skins either. The only time they came off was when I took them off in order to trade in the phone. If the SopGguard can hold up like that then I'll be happy.

I guess we need to keep in mind that even though a skin may fit, it's not designed to go inside of a case.... at least not that I'm aware of.

It's really just the matter of the Gloss finish and the way the clear cases tend to stick to the backs of devices. Even without a skin, the clear cases tend to stick to the backs of the device. Which is why I went with a skin to begin with. The matte finish skins don't have that issue.

Just discovered this website/company after looking for skins for my Tab S6. DBrand said there wasn't enough demand for that device so wasn't going to make any. Well after I found Sopiguard I don't think I'll order from DBrand ever again. They have the same colors, and special texture skins like the really cool Dragon and the Swarm one I had on my Note 9. No need for a skin on my 10+ since I have a Loopy case, but I need a skin for my Tab S6 since the keyboard book cover doesn't cover the edges and back when the kickstand is open. Ordered the Ghost Pearl skin because I've always loved the look of pearl stuff since my dad had an old Harley in pearl, and my Frost White Nexus 6P looked great (I have the opal Loopy Note 10+ case too since I couldn't get a white 512gb 10+). Since it seems to be the same stuff DBrand is using, and looking at install videos on youtube, I'm sure it'll fit and look great.

Just a side note for the clear cases that stick to the back of devices, the only one I've ever found that doesn't is the one from Speck. It's got a bit of texture inside that prevents the sticking. Because of that though the look when installed isn't a crystal clear look though, but it still shows off the device inside just fine. Highly recommend the Speck clear cases. It was the only case I was able to order and have on-hand before my 10+ got to me, which I was fine with because Speck products have always been great on all my other devices I've used them on.

The 4 new skins I ordered. They're all Matte finishes. I got a clear, red, metallic green, and a "Blue Frost" color that changes to purple.

I started with the green.

Please forgive the bad quality in some of the pictures. Strangely, I took them with my wife's iPhone and they came out weird. But some of the other pictures into with my BlackBerry Motion, and they came out fine.
So dumb question, once you remove the skin is it usable again later or do you just go to the next one?

Probably depends on the skin, though I could be wrong and they are all like this.

The Ghost Pearl skin I got for my Tab S6 is very thin and stretches/tears easy. I've got a few spots around the frame where it's stretched a bit from pulling when installing. And it tore where it was super skinny, like around the power button. Still happy overall though since the back is now covered when I have the kickstand open on the case and stuff isn't getting trapped between there and the tablet itself anymore.

Needless to say it's nothing like the material I've gotten in the past from places like SkinIt. That stuff can be used over and over if you don't stretch it out. I still have the one I had on the back of my Nexus 7 tablet that I ended up reshaping and just have as a sticker now.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been on, but I literally just changed my skin, to the red skin.

The removal process of the green skin was a little tougher than with other skin brands because it's thinner and it held on very well. I had to use my heat gun on the lowest setting to warm up the edges so I could peel it a little easier.

Installing the red skin was fairly simple since I'm used to the process now. I lined up the center and then warmed up the edges to secure them, like I did with the green skin install.

Here is the end result.

I'm really liking the red on here.

Unfortunately, these particular skins are not reusable. They're pretty thin, and the metallic material seems to make the post skin look bad.

It’s looking sweet! Nice combo for sure

I got the Honeycomb one from Amazon and installed a few days ago. The installation was easy and I'm very happy with the results.

I have always had a fairly minimalistic case for my phone, but I think this is going to be my new standard. I really enjoy the feel of this phone without having it in a case.
