Sorry but 4G Sucks in St. Louis, MO

So 4G has been here a few months in St. Louis, MO and I must say I am not impressed and very disappointed actually.

I have my EVO in 3G mode and run a speed test with the app from the market and it shows 1.5 to 2mb download and then change over to 4g and run the test again and it shows the same result.

I have a friend with an EVO and had them try the same thing just in case I was having a phone issue and yep same result.

I thought 4G was suppose to be faster and not the same.

My friend and I work for a place that has us mobile so we have been able to test this all over the St. Louis area while out and about working so I know it is just not signal tower issue it is network wide in St. Louis.

Does anyone know what is up or is 4G not up to what it was played to be?

you might be the first person that I've seen complain about Sprint 4g in St Louis.

and I'm being totally honest here, I can't say your wrong or if it's your phone cuz I don't have a 4g phone but seriously you might be the 1st one that i've seen...

As i said three of us have EVOs that are in a mobile position with work so we are all over the St. Louis metro area and we see no difference in speed result with 4G or 3G so I dont think it is a device issue unless we came across 3 bad EVOs in a row.

I've done the same comparison speed tests and hit upwards of 8 down and 7 up while on 4G. Strange...

Umm sorry Sprint caps their upload speed at 1mb, so that speed is impossible.

Your probably on wifi, as anyone on this site will tell you, Sprint caps their upload 4G speeds. BTW I have a EVO.
