Sound amplifier?

Screw TV I own it on DVD :D

I use Voodoo and PowerAmp. PowerAmp has an equalizer with a volume control slider. I think it even boosts the sound more. Many times I need to turn it back a bit as it starts to distort. This is only through the phone speaker however.

With headphones or when in my car I need to turn it down or I'll blow my ears out.

flash the new kernel and dl the voodoo sound control from the market and you will see a big differance.

You HATE that movie???? :eek::eek::eek::eek:
That's un-American. Everyone loves that movie.
That's it. You're not getting any of the pie Sheep and I ordered and I'm definitely NOT going to be your (ni)twit.:p

you didnt get no stinkin pie, im not gonna fall for the banana in the tail pipe!:p

We talking the EC10 Kernel? That I believe if read right is included in SC 2.9.2 which I am running. If that is the case I am off to the market to look for this new fandangled toy you talk about.

Nope, check out the OP in Gunner's voodoo thread. Jt1134 dropped a NEW EC10 kernel that supports voodoo sound among other things.

How do you think I feel? I'm starting to become more active at XDA and now I'm having to monitor both sites.

LOL I hit both sites but miss a lot as I can't keep up with it all.

Rebooting now after applying the Kernel. I always wipe cache three times and Davlik the same no matter what I am flashing.

I have to run out in a bit so I'll see if I notice any improvements to what I thought was already great.

Suicide, where ya been? All kinds of stuff happening.

I own it on DVD too. As well as all the Christmas classics - Frosty, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Charlie Brown Christmas, and the Muppet Christmas Carol. Ooh and Scrooged too.

The muppet Christmas carol is
AAAAAWWSSOOOMMMEEEE!

Works beautifully btw! He even got out a fix for a minor issue within like 18 hours or so! I swear if Samsung had people even HALF as talented and driven as the devs we have here and on XDA we'd all be running fully stable bloat-free GB by now...

I posted this in Gunnermike53's voodoo thread also, but 2 and 1/2 hours off charge and I'm still at 97% and that's with playing with the phone quite a bit. This undervolted kernel is the mac daddy of kernels.

so sharky with kernal i would need to voodoo up right?? I dont think i want to do that. Will this kernal ever be non vo0doo

yes, we will eventually see nonvoodoo kernels just like it. jt1134 only posts over at xda and almost everyone over there is running voodoo. You will just have to wait a little longer for nonvoodoo.

How bright do you keep your display? And how long before it times out? Any other "battery saving" tricks you are using? Or are really just finding this strictly from the kernel? Because I am not seeing those types of results so far...

Just curious on what you are doing... thanks shark!

Also curious about this as well:

I am using the voodoo control and the headphone boost is amazing. Since this is still a new process with me, but, is there a way to increase the phone speakers volume without head phones? Or is this strickly just a headphones sound improvememt?

Thanks guys!

I have always had my display on auto brightness, and I have my screen timeout set to 1 minute. I always leave my wifi and GPS off unless I'm using them. I'm not doing anything differently, this is just the difference of an undervolted kernel. This is why even though we had the leaked EB01, we were still waiting on verizon to release the official build and source code. All the improvements we are seeing with this kernel are still on top of all the POS bugs and glitches in the EB01 build. Things will really improve once the devs have the Fascinate source to work with.

The improvements are supposed to be to total sound quality, not necessarily volume. You can play around with the voodoo control and see what you can do. I haven't had a chance to play with it much as I'm working on a solution to the problem of restoring a nandroid backup. So yes, between doing that and answering questions here in the forums I have had no real chance to see what this kernel can really do.

Hmmm, thats pretty much what I do as well as far as display settings. With WiFi use.... when I am at home, that is really all I use, since it is a stronger signal than the 3g where I am. Does wifi generally drain battery faster even if it is a strong signal? I was under the assumption that battery drains quickly on 3g if there isn't a string signal and it is always searching for one.

Also, thanks for all the hard work... I'm sure the cwm bugs are very time consuming for you, but it is much appreciated with what you are doing for this community

i keep my display at 100% all the time. it looks so much nicer. oh, i also have 2 factory batteries and a third party battery.
